HK Life: Legacy 香港人生:傳承 · 852 INHERIT STUDIOS LIMITED
1. Scope and contact
This policy describes how 852 INHERIT STUDIOS LIMITED (“we”) handles information for HK Life: Legacy. The Android information currently covers Google Play test version 1.0.0 (version code 13). The official website, external Web Demo and voluntary support enquiries are described separately. The current Android app targets players aged 18 or over.
For support, privacy enquiries, access, correction or deletion requests, contact [email protected]. These Android technical statements do not establish identical features or data handling for iOS/TestFlight or the Web Demo; differences must be checked for each platform and version.
2. Android gameplay and local saves
The current Android app has no game accounts, login, developer cloud sync or player-data server. Progress, choices, settings and life records are stored in the app’s local data area. The game has no feature that automatically uploads them to us. Fictional characters’ income, health, families and other life details describe game characters; players are not asked to provide real financial or health information.
Android system backup has not been disabled. Depending on your Android/Google backup settings, system version and device provider, the system may back up or restore app data, including saves, during a device transfer. This is a system backup, not our cloud-save service, and we cannot read your system backup. Retention, security and deletion depend on the provider and your settings. See Android backup help.
You can clear app data through Android’s app information/storage settings to remove progress and settings on that device. This loses local progress. System backups and copies on other devices need to be managed separately, and the system may restore data when you reinstall. Check whether you need to keep your progress first.
3. SDKs, permissions and diagnostics
The current Android test version does not enable ads or in-app purchases and does not configure automatic analytics/crash reporting services such as Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics or Sentry. Although Google Mobile Ads and consent-management SDKs are bundled, this Release version disables the game’s advertising and consent initialization paths and removes the automatic ad-initialization component and advertising-ID permission. SDK presence or disabled monetization alone is not used to determine data handling. Any future activation requires checking product behaviour and updating this policy first.
The app does not request camera, microphone, contacts or location permissions. In-app diagnostics are available for you to view and copy; they are not automatically sent to us. Google Play and Android may process distribution, system diagnostics or backup data under their services and your settings. Their handling is governed by their policies. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
4. Official website and external Web Demo
Cloudflare Pages hosts this website over HTTPS. The website has no accounts, data-collection forms, advertising trackers or cookies set by our site code. The production domain enables Cloudflare Web Analytics: a browser analytics script processes page views, visits and loading-performance information so we can view website usage and performance statistics. See Cloudflare Web Analytics information. To deliver and secure the site, Cloudflare may also process IP addresses, browser/device information and request logs. Its service data and security measures follow Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy. We have not verified every internal retention period and do not promise immediate deletion of all provider copies.
The Web Demo link leads to itch.io and is separate from the Android test version. This website update does not update the Web Demo game. External platforms such as itch.io, Instagram and Threads may process cookies, accounts, usage records or technical information. Please read their policies: itch.io and Meta. Unverified Web Demo or iOS behaviour is not treated as identical to Android.
5. Support enquiries and tester lists
If you voluntarily contact us by email or social-media direct message, we receive the email/platform identity, message, device/version details and any screenshots, diagnostics or saves you choose to send. We use them to reply, investigate issues and improve the game. Passwords, verification codes, identity documents and real financial/health information are not needed. Hide unnecessary personal information. Attachments or saves are not a condition of playing.
Email addresses on Google Play tester lists are used to manage test eligibility. Google Play handles test registration and distribution; we use the relevant identity only as needed to manage testing and respond. Gmail processes support email, and the relevant social platform processes direct messages. We may download voluntary attachments locally to reproduce an issue. These providers and the developer are the relevant recipients. We do not sell players’ personal data or use support information for advertising tracking.
6. Retention, security and deletion
We retain contact details and messages only as needed to handle the enquiry or issue. Voluntary screenshots/saves are cleared within 90 days after a case is completed, including email attachments, downloaded files and test copies under our control. We record completion dates and check monthly. We may keep issue summaries without personal data; this does not justify permanently keeping original player images or saves.
Tester lists are retained until a tester leaves or requests removal. We also clear the relevant email addresses when testing ends and the list is no longer needed. Removing a tester does not automatically erase device saves. If a legal requirement or unfinished case requires some data to be kept, we explain why.
Use the contact email above to request access, correction or deletion of information you sent us, or removal from a tester list. Identify the relevant case or test identity without sending passwords. We may confirm a request through the original contact channel to avoid deleting the wrong person’s information. Data is used only for the purposes described above; attachments and test copies are not published.
Third-party services and backups may have separate retention mechanisms. For example, deleted Gmail messages first go to Trash and are normally permanently deleted after 30 days, or can be cleared earlier. See Gmail deletion help. We handle the data we can control; we do not promise immediate permanent removal of every platform, backup or recipient copy, or guarantee unverified third-party retention periods.
7. Policy updates
We review and update this page and its date when features, SDKs, platforms or data uses change. See Android testing information and support for test eligibility, current channels and reporting issues.
