1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing this website, playing the Web Demo of HK Life: Legacy（香港人生：傳承）, or using related services provided by 852 Inherit Studios Limited ("852 Inherit Studios"), you agree to these Terms of Use.
If you are under the age at which you can independently agree to these terms where you live, please obtain the consent of a parent or guardian first, and use this website and the game under appropriate guidance.
2. Game Content
The game is a work of fiction in the life-simulation genre. Some content may draw on life, institutions and social events from different eras of Hong Kong, but it may be simplified, adapted or fictionalised for game-design purposes.
The characters, events and storylines in the game do not constitute educational, career, financial, legal, medical or immigration advice of any kind, and should not be treated as a complete or accurate historical record.
3. Web Demo and Test Content
The Web Demo is a playable test version still in development. Its content, features, game balance and save behaviour may be modified, suspended or reset at any time.
Progress in the test version may be lost due to version updates, cleared browser data, third-party platform changes or technical issues. Please do not treat Web Demo saves as permanent.
4. Intellectual Property and Content Sharing
The content of this website and the game — including text, artwork, audio, code, logos, characters and game design — is owned by, or licensed to, 852 Inherit Studios.
Players are welcome to share screenshots, live streams, reviews and videos of the game for personal, non-commercial purposes, provided they do not:
- claim to represent the game officially;
- redistribute or sell game files or assets;
- use the content in commercial products without permission;
- use the content in misleading ways that could harm the game or its brand.

5. Voluntary Support
All support given through the "Support the Dev" page is entirely voluntary and, unless clearly stated otherwise, does not unlock additional game content, features or special treatment.
A payment-based support option (FPS / Faster Payment System) is not yet available. If one is offered in the future, payments will be processed by the relevant third-party platforms; please check the recipient name and amount before paying, and contact the developer by email as soon as possible if a payment error occurs.
6. Third-Party Platforms and Links
This website and the game may link to itch.io, Instagram, Threads, the App Store, Google Play, payment services or other third-party platforms.
When you use a third-party platform, you are also bound by that platform's terms and policies. 852 Inherit Studios has no control over the operation, outages or policy changes of third-party platforms.
7. Service and Disclaimer
The developer works to keep the website and game running properly, but cannot guarantee that the Web Demo will always be uninterrupted, error-free, free of progress loss, or fully compatible with every device and browser.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, 852 Inherit Studios accepts no liability beyond what the law requires for indirect losses arising from use of, or inability to use, the test version.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
8. Changes to These Terms
These terms may be revised as the website, Web Demo or App features are updated. Updated versions will be published on this page, together with the date of the last update.
For significant changes involving payments, accounts or the handling of personal data, the developer will provide additional notice where reasonably possible.
